Astronomy Space Planet How much can a telescope cost?
I would like a telescope for my birthday, and I really love to study space, astronomy, planets, etc. Anything that has to do with the Universe!
I would like to get a telescope, (well, actually tell my parents to buy it) and I want a telescope that is very good, where you can find planets easily, etc.
I would also like a telescope that doesn't cost much. I don't want my parents to spend too much.
Help!
I suggest you join an astronomy club or at least go to a couple star party's and see what you like. Most clubs have loaner telescopes you can take home once trained. Here is a link to clubs-

A good telescope for dso's(deep space objects) is the reflector type and the easiest to use and set up is a dob,(Dobsonian mount). To get a telescope that will give you views of Galaxy's,nebula, clusters and such you will need at least 6" aperture.
This is a good place to do some window shopping-
I have 2 of their telescopes a Starblast 6 and an XT 10-I love them both.
Thy really stand behind their products.
Stay away from e-bay and department store telescopes.

What type of telescope is the best for deep space astronomical viewing?
I love to stargaze and I want a telescope that can look at star clusters, nebulae and planets in great detail. I wanna see rings and moons and lots of detail, I'm an avid stargazer. What type would be best, which brand is one of the best, and what (please) is a cheap, but still an excellent telescope(Amazon, Ebay, or in company opinion)

Basically, you want the largest Dobsonian you can afford and transport to a dark site, unless you are lucky enough to live at a dark sky site.
Here are a few web pages with good information on beginner's telescopes:
Buy from a store which specializes in telescopes and astronomy, either locally or online; don't buy from department stores, discount stores or eBay as mostly what they sell is junk. Find your local astronomy club and try out different telescopes at one of their star parties:
I strongly recommend that beginners steer clear of astrophotography until they have learned their way around the sky. Astrophotography is by far the most expensive and difficult area of amateur astronomy.
Many people who buy telescopes have no idea how to find interesting things to observe. A good introduction to finding things is NightWatch by Terence Dickinson (Firefly). A more advanced book is Star Watch by Phil Harrington (Wiley).
As a child, I LOVED studying about planets! It was my thing as a kid. And now I am 20 years old and I regret ever stop learning about planets! I wish I had never stopped, I used to learn so much and it has always fascinated me, learning about life other than our own! I want to bring back my love for planets, so I'm considering buying a telescope and looking at the stars and planets and such. I do not want to buy a cheap one where I can only see the moon, but I want a good one where I can see many other planets!! Where can I find a good telescope? But the real question is, are they even worth buying?
Besides astronomy club advice (good!), search here: http://www.skyandtelescope.com/resources
Besides Orion, OPT sells at same prices: http://www.optcorp.com
There are amateurs with live video views of the sky through fine scopes at http://www.nightskiesnetwork.com for free views most clear evenings around the world.
Planet Viewer Has the Discovery channel ever actually discovered anything?
I have always watched The Discovery Channels and Animal Planet. So I have was wondering if the channels have actually discovered anything. I know the show always said that they are always on the cutting-edge, but really? Are they or does that just get more viewers?
It's an entertainment service that commissions programmes from programme makers or, as is often the case, buys programmes that have already been made. They're not supposed to make discoveries other, arguably, than for new advertizing possibilities and tie-in merchandizing. It's show biz.

I need Website help?
I'm am for looking for a site to sell my music as mp3 downloads where a viewer doesn't have to become a member of the site. I recently joined Broadjam, Soundclick, Mp3.com, Artistopia.com, SonicBids, and GarageBand.
All the sites require the listener to register and then start an account by depositing so much money in it.
This in turn makes it extremely difficult for me to make any possible sales. It takes the numbers from any hundreds to fractions of a percent. It would be better for the artists and the sites if they had another route for listeners as well to straight bill instead of having to go through all the hassle. Basically there may be a million members on any such site and that is my only market there. What I would like is a site where they can be billed straight to credit card or paypal from the site without any signups or memberships or deposits. This would enable me to market the planet. Do you know of any such sites?
I don't know of any such sites, but if you're serious enough about it, my friend makes webpages for a living, and he might be able to make you one like what you just described. His website is www.logixone.net. From there, you can email him with any questions you might have.
What is the name of the show with a male and a female narrators, who show five animals and tell facts about them, but one of the facts is not true and they tell you at the end?
