With A Dobsonian Telescope Do you think this telescope with included eyepieces can see this?
When I looked at Jupiter last night, I saw a bright disk with dots near it (the moons). The bands were either very faint or not seen at all. Is this supposed to be true with this telescope? If I buy a barlow lens, will that make the bands darker or will it just make the bright disk closer up? Maybe the planet was too bright at that time I looked at it?
This is the telescope: http://www.telescope.com/control/telescopes/dobsonian-telescopes/orion-skyscanner-100mm-tabletop-reflector-telescope
Thank you
A 100 mm reflector should be able to see the bands on Jupiter. But it's true, they appear faint to the human eye, especially now. Using a Barlow lens will magnify the image, but it also reduces the brightness and puts more glass between you and the object. Thus, the observed image quality will usually suffer, unless the less is very high quality.
Also any sky glow or thin clouds will make it harder to see the bands.

DCR TRV720, a digi-8 vcam must be iLink / FIREWIRE400**-connected to pc to upload video thru video capture or video editing* software while vcam is ON PLAYBACK. Note: DV or Firewire port of vcam is 4pin. Before cable purchase** (Vcam/4pin=>firewireCABLE=>PC (4/ 6pin?), check pc for DV or firewire port, whether 4 or 6 pin. If none, install firewire card: pci for pc or pcmcia for laptop.

for starters, free Windows Movie Maker* (Vista/wmm6 & XP/wmm2) provides simple & easy way to learn the ropes < click help for details>. Upgrade to intermediate video editing applications accdg. to need & skill level
video editing process- Vista/wmm6
>>> open wmm- start/all programs/wmm->TASK pane
1. Import video stream** - editing software remotely controls vcam operations
2. Edit- drag/drop video files->timeline & enhance w/effects, transition, music & titles
3. Publish (render)- save Movie (OK for youTube), also, save Project.msmmw file
>>> Share=>auto-shifts to WindowsDvD authoring app->burn to DvD

Secondary Mirror I'm looking for a book I read in secondary school, but I cannot remember the title or the author.?
How can I go about finding this information?
The book was about a female student who has an affair with her English teacher. I remember that they were studying Romeo and Juliet at the time, and their affair sort of mirrored the play. I also remember it being more mature than I had been expecting to find at school because the sex scenes were quite detailed. If this sounds familiar, or if anyone knows where I might have more luck finding this book please let me know!
Teach Me by RA Nelson?
Carolina is a high-school senior who feels she is too smart and mature for small-town Alabama life. Then she meets Mr. Mann, the new language arts teacher who is obsessed with Emily Dickinson. After she makes him feel at ease in his new job, she feels he is worthy of her attention, and the two begin an intense, clandestine affair, which is consummated on her 18th birthday. The love ends devastatingly for the teen when Mr. Mann suddenly dumps her and quickly marries another woman right before graduation. Carolina finally confides in her best friend, Schuyler, and he helps her try to figure out who Mr. Mann is and why he acted as he did. Nelson's writing is wonderfully eloquent and full of poetic references and wry humor, yet the plot and characters are occasionally chaotic. It is difficult to identify with Carolina, who not only thinks she's better than everyone else, but also goes to extreme lengths to seek revenge on her former lover. Mr. Mann is no more sympathetic.
Also check Secrets of the Morning by VC Andrews where a girl named Dawn has an affair with her teacher and becomes pregnant.
so many places assume your secondary education mirrors the amount of information you hold, but here so many self taught individuals that know as much as a Harvard grad without ever going to any college. this is rare like Mr. clean with hair, but is still common.
