why is their a blocked out square in wikisky(the ONLY blocked out space)?
Wikisky,Google Sky,Microsoft World Wide Telescope, and Skyview,each custom blacked out an area of infrared imaged space in the constellation Virgo..i NEED a good reason for this in order to NOT feel like this is a conspiracy ..waiting for a good reason now,,ticktock,,tick tock,,,,

Hi. Can anyone tell me where I can download new layers and add-ons for Microsoft Worldwide Telescope? Thanks
Unfortunately, you only get what is accessible through the menu system, (Click on the folders and download the different layers).
You can create your own tours. And new data and tours can be downloaded by joining different 'communities'.
And the program is, to a certain extent, compatible with google sky .kmz files.

On microsoft worldwide telescope, below orion there is a broken image of something. anyone know what it is?
I'm a Mac user so don't have access to this program, but I would expect that this is an ordinary glitch in the images used, probably flare from a nearby bright star, such as Sirius.

Are these two sources to view outside our earth in the universe 'Google Sky' & 'WorldWide Telescope' live ?
They both are in-competition it seems. These two websites want to proof which one of them get the best job done.

So what I'm wondering is whether they are live or just images takes on so and so date and will be updated once in 6 months or an year or something like that ?
They get their information from the same sources. How they present that information is the main difference.
