Telescope Autostar Is a Meade DS-2130 First Generation With AutoStar Good?
How good is a Meade DS-2130 First Generation Telescope with AutoStar , is it worth $150, If so, what can I see with it? I haven't found much information about the "first" generation models. Any information would be great! Thanks.
This is a 5" reflector?
If the mount sucks, i wonder if it could be cheaply remounted on a Dob mount. Toss the current mount, and drill a hole in the other side... And would you want a 5" for a grab and go scope for $150 + maybe $50 in parts and ten hours of work?
One of the guys at the club got a cheap 85 mm achromat, remounted it, and now has a reasonable 85 mm achromat. Total outlay was $100, and maybe 8 hours, i think.

The Orion XT series (available in 4.5", 6", 8", and 10") includes some of my favorite entry-level telescopes, and I recommend this one, the 8", most of all. It's well-made, has very good optics, is relatively cheap, isn't too big or too small, and has a nice look...

Luna la 130x webcam through a 6 inch reflector telescope
It has several reviews saying it is a good eyepiece. I appears to be the exact same eyepiece as Orion's planetary eyepiece but cheaper in cost. 1. Can it work with this scope? 2. Will it have ghosting problems, or such? 3. Will it improve planets? 4. can I look at the moon with it. 5. Can I look at deep sky objects with it (As in, it will be able to do that, not a moon or DSO eyepiece but can do it). And finally 6. would you recommend the 6mm or 5mm eyepiece of it. I am leaning toward the 5mm because it is higher than the 6mm and it still is below the magnification limit of this scope.
