High End Telescopes what is the name of this movie?
i just suddenly remember of a movie that i don't know the name. i remember something from the movie, is that
1) the main characters are kids
2) one of them near the end of the movie was jailed in a huge bird cage hanging high above the ground
3) also near the end, one of the kid maneuver a telescope, im not sure what it was, to burn a piece of paper in a guy's hand
4) again, near the end, there was something about the telescope being pass around to others
5) if im not wrong, at the end, the kids got back home. They saw their house's illusion as if its in a really good condition, but the illusion fade away and leave the real house image back, burned.
6) im pretty sure it's not an anime or some sort. Human actors were in there
My Niece is very ill and does not seem good! So I had asked her what she might want? She is so cute! Wanted some kind of telescope, which she could use with her computer? That you can see the planets and the stars too? Is this really possibly, especially finding any other planet? Also something about the telescope would have to be motorized and hooked up to her Laptop? Can you really see any planets? Well nor here or there really do not have tons of money, but am willing to purchase as long that it is half way decent? I have looked somewhat at the pricing I cannot afford a 1000.00 for one. So can I find a new one or a used one? I can use my credit card to get roughly 575.00 in cash? Can I find anything? Please any help and or suggestions would be the best! Please help she is sick and want nothing more than to see her smile! Thank You!
well, there is 3 kinds of telescope.
if you nice would like to observe the planets, refactor will be her best Choice.
if she like to observe the nebulas, like deep sky object, the Dobsonian's are the best one so far.
if she like to observe both, compound will be the best choice.
so, find your telescope here
and give her some beginner magzines(astronomy), so she can get out of the beginner level.
ps: use the telescope away from the city light, it will make the image better. NEVER DO SOLAR(SUN) OBSERVINGS! IT MIGHT BLIND YOUR EYES!

I cannot see anything with my telescope?
I just got a telescope for Christmas it is described as a Silver 90mm Cassegrain Advanced GPS Computer Controlled Astrophotography and have not been able to see anything. Any suggestions for reference info or any ideas where I can find assistance?
You need to align your finder,Do this in the day-Find an object 1/4 mi away or more(I use a tower)Use the eyepiece with the largest #mm on it put it in the eyepiece holder(25mm).Look into the eyepiece and Find your object(BE SURE YOU DO NOT AIM TOWARD THE SUN)focus on a part of your object. Now adjust your finder so you see that part of your object centered. Now without moving your scope switch to a smaller # eyepiece to increase magnification(9mm).Refocus and tune your finder in as you did before.

Power Portable can I use a portable DVD power inverter to use my laptop in my car?
I bought a "Philips DVD on the go Power Inverter" - 80W continous, 150W peak. I want to use this for my 10" Lenovo S10 notebook/laptop in the car. Is my laptop going to do fine or will I need something with a stronger wattage?
A laptop draws up to 300 watts of power to run normal applications. Look around your battery and see how many amps it draws and times it by 5 and that will get you the required watts

I was wondering how much a good telescope would cost in Bangalore, or online, was planning to gift one to a friend, how much would it cost? anything good under 3k by any chance, what specifications should i look out for when searching for one?
The two sources below are sellers of Orion telescopes in India.
It looks like about Rs. 20000 for a good serious telescope for beginners.
For example the Orion SkyQuest™ XT6 Classic Dobsonian Reflector Rs. 26,400 from the first one.
