Optic lens???
What kind of abberation suffer simple spheric lens?
and what kind of abbertaion suffer aspheric lens?
If I use one aspheric lens for telescope primary lens, what is the problems with the lens? What about the distortion?
Spheric lens suffer of spherical abberation the aspherical lens is the answer for this type of abberation. But because the light rays goes through the lens there is chromatic abberation aberation of collors avary collors goes through another focus point. Telescopes uses Achromatic lens or Apochromatic[more advanced] lens. This lenses is good for no spherical and no chromatic abberation. The chromatic abberation is healed by three colors RGB [red, green, blue] The focus of this three colors are in one point.
I saw a flyer in a recent discount store for telescopes (National Geographic 565x magnification), and I'm wondering whether or not I should make the purchase for $50.00 CAD. I know it wouldn't be showing me much, but would this be a step in the right or wrong direction? How much magnification is 565x, in terms of what I'll be able to see?
Thank you,
Av
Don't waste your money. It's a piece of junk and you'd be lucky to see the moon with it. If you ever see any telescope that has a magnification on the box or in the ad, you can be assured that it's something you don't want to waste money on. To get even a marginal scope, you'd have to talk $250 or so.

Optic Telescopes Whats the best way to hook up a telescopes ocular to the PC?
Hi,
I just bought my first "very good" telescope. A Meade ETX-125 PE. Now, I'm wanting to view the image I normally see through the ocular on my computer screen. Whats the best way?
1. A CCD camera or Meade DSI?
2. An Electronic or Digital Ocular
3. T-stand + T-ring + 12 MP Camera we already have..
I know number one is very expensive, but it films the whole ocular and not just a circle in the picture. The other two are cheaper and 3 is the highest resolution.
People that have some knowledge of optics/telescopes/camera's please tell me WHICH one and WHY or maybe there are OTHER possibilities.
Thanks in advance, I will elect the best effort...
My personal preference would be the setup that Orion offers.
This is their least expensive but they do have many that are even better.

Large structure in the moon - optical telescope = NO COMMENT ABOUT THIS TRUTH NO PHOTOSHOP NO EDITED
Both those telescopes will certainly work for you, but they are not in the same class as an 8" dobsonian. I would avoid "electronic" telescopes, for one thing, they usually don't work as well as advertised, for another, the actual telescope is not as good, because a lot of the price is in the mechanism. If you insist on that feature, Orion sells a 6" dob with the star finder feature on it in your price range that would blow both these telescopes out of the water.
In 1609, world-renowned Italian scientist, Galileo Galilei, introduced an elementary telescope to the growing astronomy community, which sparked interest into the mysterious night sky for centuries to come...
