Meade should have a list of authorized repair centers published on their web site. If not, I would send it to Meade for repairs. However, some telescopes such as Dobsonians in particular can be fixed by the user. You can contact Meade at http://www.meade.com/ to locate a dealer near you and or bring it in for service.
Optic Telescopes I'm want to know more about the black hole. Please help me ?? Thank you..?
I read about the black hole a long time ago. There are a few things that I would like to ask :
1. How does it happen ? Is it true that black hole is basically a dead white dwarf star ?
2. Black hole's gravity is supposed to be able to bind even light. How is it possible ? Doesn't foton have no mass (according to Einstein theorem) ? There should be no gravity bind for it (according to F=G.m1.m2/r^2) ?
3. If black hole is able to bind everything, how do we prove its existence ? Neither the optic telescope or radio telescope should be able to receive anything from it, it would bind both the optic and radio transmission.
4. Actually, someone theorizes the black hole does radiate something although in a very very small amount. How is it possible (again, due to gravity bind) ? And who is that someone (I assume Stephen Hawking) ?
Any help would be appreciated although I probably wouldn't be able to understand an uber-elite scientific answer :d

black holes don't hold in light as well as people think. they have detected gamma ray burst off of what they believe are the poles of a black hole.
the magnetic fields converge at the poles providing a weak spot. essentially, the energy doesn't get caught in the mess.
also, black holes cannot bind everything. they do NOT have infinite mass. its just very substantial, astronomically speaking.
