Computerized telescope for 700 pounds - 1200?
I have had a 8 inch dob for nearly a year now, its fantastic, the only down size is that i don't see alot of stuff. I have a great eyepiece and i am very happy with it
But im looking to invest in a computerized scope where it finds objects for you. Now please could you tell me what to expect
I'm hoping that it will be better than my 8 inch dob because that was £250 pounds, Im hoping for some links and recommendations
For the price you're looking at, you have several options.
If you like the ease and large aperture of a dobsonian, you could get a 12'' or even 14'' dobsonian with intelliscope 'Push-To'' system. Wouldn't drive the scope to the objects you want, but lord! would you ever have some nice viewing.
If you want the scope to drive itself, perhaps even giving you a 'tour' of the sky, you might consider the Meade LX series - an 8'' LX 90 will be near the upper end of your price range.
